Fair Use Policy

This Fair Use Policy sets out how to use Browser.lol responsibly so that shared resources remain available to other users. This policy is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service.

Our Services are intended for ordinary personal and business use. The free tier is supported by advertising. The paid Plus and Premium subscriptions have higher allowances. These rules address use that strains our infrastructure or disrupts other users.

Fair use helps keep the service available for everyone.

Fair use is determined by evaluating your usage patterns relative to:

• Your account tier: Anonymous use and registered accounts have different limits and allocations
• Typical use: How your usage compares with other users on the same tier
• Resource impact: The effect of your usage on infrastructure and other users
• Purpose: Whether your use aligns with the intended purpose of the Services
• Consistency with guidelines: Compliance with our Acceptable Use Policy

We review usage patterns that may indicate excessive or inappropriate use so we can keep the service available to other users.

3.1. Session Usage

The Service offers anonymous and registered free use, Plus, and Premium. Each tier has limits on session starts, concurrent sessions, inactivity, and maximum session duration:

The service enforces the current limits. Some allowances and usage figures appear in your dashboard when relevant; the browser launch page reports when a limit prevents a session from starting.

3.2. Bandwidth Usage

We do not set a general hard bandwidth cap, but we may review excessive use. As policy guidance, sustained use of several hundred gigabytes a month, such as consistently exceeding 500 GB, may prompt a review.

Excessive bandwidth use for torrenting, continuous video streaming to third parties, or operating sessions as CDN or proxy services is prohibited.

3.3. Computational Resources

Each session uses allocated CPU and memory. Fair use requires the following:

• CPU: Do not keep a session at maximum CPU use for extended periods
• Memory: Memory usage should remain within the allocated limits of your plan
• Processes: Running excessive background processes or cryptocurrency mining is prohibited

Resource-intensive activities that materially impact other users may be throttled or restricted to ensure fair access for all users.

3.4. Storage Limits

Sessions are temporary and are not intended as long-term file storage:

• Files downloaded inside a session are removed when that session ends; saved browser profiles, where available, retain browser state separately
• Using sessions as file storage or hosting services is prohibited

3.5. Programmatic Access

Programmatic creation of sessions is a Premium feature, currently offered in beta, available through the documented API with an API key and through the hosted MCP endpoint, which accepts an API key or sign-in with your Browser.lol account (OAuth). Automating the website itself, or using session endpoints outside those interfaces, violates this policy and may be addressed under Section 5.

3.6. Integrated Mail Service

For users with access to our integrated mail service:

• After periodic cleanup, only the 50 most recent messages per user are kept
• Messages older than 30 days are removed by periodic cleanup
• Using the mail service for spam, bulk email, or mass marketing is strictly prohibited

The following activities are considered violations of fair use and are prohibited:

• Cryptocurrency Mining: Using sessions for cryptocurrency mining or similar compute-intensive operations
• Proxy/VPN Services: Operating sessions as proxy servers or VPN services for third parties
• Continuous Downloading: Using sessions for continuous downloading of large files or torrenting
• Automated Scraping: Running automated web scraping operations that generate excessive bandwidth or requests
• DDoS or Network Attacks: Using resources to launch denial-of-service attacks or network scanning
• Reselling Services: Reselling or sublicensing session access to third parties without authorization
• Multiple Account Abuse: Creating multiple accounts to circumvent the usage limits of your account tier
• Session Manipulation: Using automated tools to prevent session timeouts or artificially extend sessions

5.1. Usage Monitoring

We monitor service usage and infrastructure health to enforce this policy. Signals may include:

• Number of active and total sessions
• Session duration and frequency
• Bandwidth consumption patterns
• CPU and memory utilization
• Automated request patterns
• Storage usage

Routine fair-use monitoring does not inspect the page content of sessions. See our Privacy Policy for how we process resource, traffic, and session metadata.

5.2. Enforcement Actions

If we determine that your usage exceeds fair use limits, we may take one or more of the following actions:

The specific action taken depends on the severity of the violation, your usage history, and your response to previous warnings. We reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate accounts engaged in activities that pose security risks or significantly impact other users.

5.3. Appeals Process

If you believe enforcement action was taken in error:

1. Contact us at [email protected] within 14 days of the action
2. Provide your account information and explanation
3. We aim to review your case within 5 business days
4. You will receive a written response with our decision

If your work needs more than your current tier allows, you can contact us or review the available paid plans.

6.1. Talk to Us

If your use case is legitimate and simply larger than the defaults, write to [email protected] and describe it: the workload, the expected volume and the time frame. Any adjustment is discretionary and free of charge. Please contact us instead of building a workaround.

6.2. The Paid Subscriptions

The paid Plus subscription includes ad-free browsing, more session resources, custom proxies, saved browser profiles, a residential proxy data allowance per billing cycle, access to available browser images, and standard support. The Premium subscription adds priority support, more saved browser profiles, programmatic access (API keys and our hosted MCP endpoint), more residential proxy data, a second concurrent session, and access to browser servers reserved for Premium subscribers.

7.1. Usage Dashboard

Your dashboard shows some account usage information, including:

• Recent session records
• Residential proxy data used this billing cycle, when your plan includes it
• Session usage and applicable limits where those counters are available

7.2. Proactive Notifications

We will notify you if:

• Your usage approaches the limits of your account tier (typically at 80% and 100%)
• We detect patterns that may violate fair use
• Your account is flagged for review
• Changes to fair use limits are planned

Notifications are sent via email and may also appear in your dashboard.

We may update this Fair Use Policy as our Services, technology, or usage patterns change. Material changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance via email and dashboard notifications.

We will not retroactively penalize usage that was compliant with the policy at the time it occurred. New limits apply only to future usage.
